Ulverstone High Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser

Over $300 dollars was raised in a single day by the wonderful people of Ulverstone High School who have been willing to support me and the cause right from when they first heard about the India trip. During their annual surf carnival held at the Ulverstone Surf Club, a sausage sizzle stand was erected and manned by a dedicated crew of students who took turns helping between their competition events. Of particular mention is the contribution of the school chaplain, Joseph who helped the entire day and forewarned me about sunburn but did I listen? Thank you to Ulvie High who still hold an important place in my heart.....

Even more.....

As the week has passed even more money has been handed to my mother from the wonderful people at Marist. The grand total raised within the college has reached $415. This amount coupled with that made at a sausage sizzle held early last week should fully account for my in country costs to be paid to my host family. It is truly a great feeling to have this amount freely given, as it further reassures me that people are supportive of my new adventure. Thank you to everyone who has donated money so far and to those to come :)

Fundraising Morning Tea at Marist Regional College

The Friday morning tea held at Marist Regional College raised $374.90 towards my goal of $500 to go to Lattitude for my host family! It was a wonderful event which wouldn't have happened without my wonderful mother and her colleagues. Of particular note is the contribution of Anita and Greame towards the organisation and momentum needed for such an event. Although I couldn't be there in my post-operative state I have it on good grounds that it was a hugely warm and supportive atmosphere. Thank you for your generousity :-)

Glad its happening now!

I am truly glad that I have had my wisdom teeth out now, rather than just before leaving for India! I am like a big baby at the moment, eating mush and getting heaps of hugs. I am very grateful to Dr. Sunderland who managed to put my appiontment forward and although my jaw feels as though someone has been at it with a jackhammer, they probably have, I am sure I will recover well under his expert hands. To pain free days and nights I can't wait......
